Hatter’s Cottage, Hawkshead Hill
1. BOOKINGS
Bookings are from 4.00 p.m. Friday to 10.00 a.m. Friday. Other times may be available by
arrangement.
2. PAYMENT
A non-returnable deposit of £100 is payable at the time of booking*.
The balance is payable 2 months before the rental period begins.
Non-payment of the balance by
the due date will be treated as a cancellation and we will assume the property is available for
re-letting.
*If the booking is made less than 2 months before the rental period begins the full rent is
payable at the time of booking.
3. CANCELLATION
If you have to cancel your holiday, you should notify us immediately. If we can re-let, we will make a refund. If we are unable to re-let, you will be responsible for the full balance. (We therefore recommend that you take out cancellation insurance). If before your arrival your stay has to be cancelled due to government regulations, or for a medical reason connected directly with the current Covid-19 outbreak we will provide a full refund. If any of your group develop possible Covid-19 symptoms during your stay we ask that you return home immediately and we will give a pro-rata refund.
4. NUMBERS
The number of persons occupying the cottage must not exceed the number stated in the particulars
for the cottage unless written consent is obtained from us.
5. UNSUITABLE HIRERS
We reserve the right to refuse a booking from any person we consider to be unsuitable. We reserve
the right to repossess the cottage at any time if damage has been done, or if we consider it is
likely that damage will be done. In such cases we will not be liable to make any refund.
6. VISITORS’ RESPONSIBILITIES
You are responsible for the cottage and its contents during your stay and you are expected to take
all reasonable care of it.
You are advised to check on arrival and inform us of any shortcomings, damage or missing items. No
complaint can be considered for such matters not so notified. Any dispute or complaint that you may have concerning your stay must be immediately reported so that we can do our best to put matters right. We cannot consider complaints not so reported that are raised after your departure. We do not impose a Damages Deposit
but we do expect you to report and pay for any damage, loss or breakage that occurs
during your stay. Unsuitable substitutes are not accepted. The cottage and its contents must be
left in the same state of cleanliness and general order in which it was found. You are responsible
for seeing that no nuisance or inconvenience is caused to neighbours.
7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITIES
The use of the accommodation and its equipment is entirely at your own risk and no responsibility
can be accepted for injury, nor for loss or damage to your belongings. No responsibility can be
accepted for loss or damage to any vehicle or its contents.
8. WEBSITE
We do our best to ensure the accuracy of details about our cottage on our
website and those of our advertisers. However, we reserve the right to make whatever modifications may be necessary.
9. INTERNET
Internet access in the cottage is provided as a complimentary service for guests; it is not
included in services covered by your rent. We will make all reasonable efforts to ensure that it
operates satisfactorily, but we cannot guarantee this.
10. ELECTRIC CAR CHARGING With the owners' agreement and for a fee to cover costs cars may be charged at the parking site using a suitable Type 2 cable to be provided by the tenant.
11. UNAVAILABILITY
In the event that the cottage is not available due to circumstances beyond our control, we will
refund in full the money received from you.
12. ACCESS
We reserve the right of access to the cottage at any reasonable time during your stay. During periods of hire
lasting two weeks or longer we require access on a weekly basis, the day to be arranged to our
mutual convenience.
13. ACCEPTANCE OF CONDITIONS
By making a booking you are undertaking to accept these
conditions, not only for yourself, but also on behalf of all members of your party.
